CHRONIC + SUDDEN ILLNESS

An adult woman and her mother.

Support for Chronic or Acute Illnesses

Being diagnosed with a chronic or acute illness can cause distress and feel like a roller coaster of emotions. Stress has been shown to have a greater effect on older adults than in other age groups, according to the American Institute of Stress. Illness can also be stressful for family and loved ones.

Therapy can help to navigate the multiple emotions that come with a newly diagnosed chronic or acute illness. Learning effective management strategies can better support your overall health.
